The Capitol Christmas Tree 2010 Continues Through Wyomings Heart.

As we draw nearer and nearer to the Christmas Season the Capitol Christmas Tree continues on its long journey to the U. S. Capitol. Many communities will have special occations around the People’s Tree as it visits their areas. You can find more information on the next few days of travel below.

The Capitol Christmas Tree 2010 in the Forest

November 13 2010, Day 4

8:30am – 10:00am on Main Street, Lander WY

Come join in on the fun in front of Centennial Park, 200 block of Main Street, for some Christmas music performed by the Wyoming Catholic College choir, Nancy Ebbert and Joe Waters, and Bryan Ragsdale. The Lander Lions will have hot drinks like cocoa, coffee & cider.
11:30am – 1:30pm Main Corner by the Bistro on 26th near Ramshorn, Dubois WY

3:00pm – 9:00am Airport at 4830 Airport Road, Riverton WY

3:00pm – 7:00am Next to the Irma on 12th Street, Cody WY

The City of Cody teams up with the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce and downtown merchants for a festive afternoon of holiday fun! Bring the whole family downtown to the Irma for hay rides, ornament making and cookie decorating, refreshments, live music and more! 3 PM: Capitol Christmas Tree arrives via motorcade
3 to 5 PM: Family Ornament Making on The Irma porch (weather permitting)
3:15 PM: Arrival & Set-up of Capitol Tree on 12th Street

3:30 PM: Local Dignitaries Speak

November 15 2010, Day 6

12:00pm – 2:30pm Visitor Center at 1517 East 5th Street, Sheridan WY

The official U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree will be touring Wyoming before heading off to Washington, and will be making its stop in Sheridan on Monday, November 15, 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm. Come join us at the Wyoming Information Center parking area, 1517 E. 5th St., to see the tree and hear its story, then come inside for hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies (until 2:00 pm), hosted by the Chamber’s Ag/Natural Resources/Public Lands Committee. 3:15pm – 7:00am WYDOT yard at 680 Fort Street, Buffalo WY

From the flatbed of a “Jeff Underwood Trucking” semi the tree will be in town.
