H & L HassingNational Christmas Tree came to Blue Earth MN on 11/20/2010. It was tied in with the scarfing of our Jolly Green Giant who is 55.5′tall along I-90. The drivers and others in the entourage were such wonderful people to visit with. We took many pictures of the celebration, and were so happy that our little town could be included in seeing this huge tree that will dress up the U.S. Capital in Washington D.C. So many good memories.

MarciaWe were lucky enough to be on our way back into Columbia, MO this evening when we noticed a lot of policemen standing around on the I70 and 63 interchange. When we got a little further down the road we figured out why. There parked along side the road were the trucks in the tree caravan waiting for traffic to be closed down so they could maneuver that huge trailer through the crowded intersection and into the hotel lot. I am sad to see that we are not hosting an event but I was so thrilled to see it that I made my husband turn around so we could drive by it again. Best wishes to everyone making the voyage!
