Capitol Christmas Tree 2010, Track the Tree From Wyoming to The US Capitol West Lawn

The Capitol Christmas Tree 2010 From the Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming will travel throughout the state of Wyoming and is Tentatively Routed to visit 30 cities and towns over a 7 day period before continueing on to Washington, D.C. .

Following the state tour will be a 10 day national tour with frequent stops as it winds through the country.

After traveling on a on a custom double flatbed truck designed to to support the branches and prevent damage the tree will arrive at its celebrated Destination in Washington D.C. should be reached by November 20 2010 to be presented to the United States Congress.

Two semi-trucks and 10 escort vehicles will transport The Capitol Christmas Tree 2010 for more than 3,000 miles in From November 10th 2010 through November 29th 2010. It is this writeres understanding that one semi will transport the tree and one will transport the 10000 hand made ornaments.

To keep the tree watered and fresh during its travels the bottom of the trunk will be atached with a plastic container to provide the 65 gallons of water needed per day. The water will be refilled nightly.

    The 2010 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree that is being gifted by Wyoming to the people of the Nation will be stopping in Afton Wyoming on Wednesday, November 10 2010 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Residents of the community are invited to come see the tree at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds, 150 Washington Street, and help celebrate with a send-off of the first-ever U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree from the Cowboy State.

    I wish to thank the people of Wyoming for the wonderful gift they have given to the rest of the country. Saw the tree in Blue Earth, Minn. on the 20th. Will continue to follow it across the country. Looking forward to seeing coverage of its arrival in the nations capitol.
